About Us

Beginning in 2013 GermanFest has been delighting lovers of German culture in Knoxville and beyond. Held on a Saturday in late August GermanFest offers fun for the whole family. Today we serve our own food, and work with local craft breweries and barrel rooms. From our humble beginnings we have grown to feature a Konzert by the UT Organ Studio, a biergarten, root bier garten, a German car show, Marketplace, Dachshund Races, Stein Holding Competitions, and much more!

Welcome the community to our campus through the sharing of our German heritage while working with local vendors to create a day of fun for the whole family.

About Our Cause

First Lutheran School has been serving Knoxville since 1869. Holding true to the belief of Martin Luther that ALL children deserve a complete education (an idea ahead of its time in the 1500’s). All proceeds from GermanFest go toward the support of our school and students by way of building improvements, enrichment programs, curriculum, and funding scholarship opportunities.
